Local SEO
Local SEO for doctors and medical practices
Nearly every patient search has a location attached to it, spoken or implied. Local SEO is the work of making sure that when someone nearby searches for what you treat, your practice is the one Google shows, in the map results and below them.
What you get
What's included
Google Business Profile, properly managed
Claimed, verified and fully completed: correct categories, hours including holidays, services, attributes, and real photographs of your actual practice. This listing drives more local visibility than your homepage does, and it is the asset most practices neglect.
Citation and NAP consistency
Your name, address and phone number made identical across every directory, health listing and aggregator that carries them. Inconsistencies here quietly suppress local rankings and they are invisible until someone audits for them.
Location and service pages that can rank
A real page for each location you operate from and each service you want to be found for, with genuine local detail rather than the same paragraph with the city name swapped.
Review generation that stays within the rules
A simple, automated request flow that asks every patient at the right moment. No filtering out negative reviews and no incentives. Both breach Google policy and FTC rules, and the penalties outweigh any benefit.
Reporting tied to appointments
Search Console and analytics configured to show which searches produced booked appointments, not how many impressions you received. If a report cannot connect to a patient, it is not worth your time reading.
How it works
The process
Audit
We review your current rankings, your Google Business Profile, your citation consistency and the practices currently outranking you. You get a written list of what is holding you back, ordered by impact. Yours to keep whether or not you continue.
Fix the foundations
Profile completed and optimised, citations corrected, technical issues on the site resolved, and Search Console properly configured. This phase usually produces the first visible movement, often within two to four weeks.
Build the pages that rank
Location pages, service pages and specialty pages written to answer the searches your patients actually run. This is where organic ranking gains come from, and where the compounding starts.
Measure and iterate
Monthly review of which searches brought in appointments. We double down on what converts and stop what does not, rather than adding content indefinitely.
Why local SEO decides who patients see
When someone searches for a doctor, Google shows three things above everything else: paid ads, a map with three local businesses, and then the organic results. The map block, the “local pack”, captures a disproportionate share of clicks, and it is chosen almost entirely by signals that have nothing to do with how good your website looks.
Proximity to the searcher, the completeness of your Google Business Profile, the consistency of your listings, and your recent review activity. That is most of it.
This is good news for independent practices. You cannot outspend a hospital network on advertising, but you can absolutely have a better-managed profile, more consistent listings and more recent reviews than the practice down the road. Those are effort problems, not budget problems.
What we do not do
We do not buy links, submit you to hundreds of low-quality directories, or publish keyword-stuffed pages for cities you do not serve. These tactics produced results a decade ago and now produce penalties.
We also will not build fifty near-identical location pages with the city name swapped. Google treats those as doorway pages and the entire site can be demoted for it. If you genuinely serve a market, that market gets a real page. If you do not, it does not get one.
